HOW OUR STORY BEGAN
When Sweta Anand realised that her choice in handloom sarees was always applauded, she decided to transform this consistent admiration into inspiration. With an aim to preserve the ancient Indian craft and promote its weavers, she started collaborating with artisans to bring her saree designs to life. She launched Aprudha in 2017 in Pune with her husband Abhishek
WEAVING-IN OUR SAREE BAGS
Our hot selling cotton saree bags were born out of our own needs. To store our collections at the store, we skipped plastic and chose locally-made pure cotton saree bags instead. The turn of events in 2020 made people look for a safe way to store their sarees for long periods. Made by a jobless domestic workforce, the saree bags became very popular. Our saree bags are available in nine styles, and have reached the wardrobes of women who treasure their six yards.
ALL ABOUT CHERISHING FOREVER
Borrowing from our name, which means ‘the one that never gets old’, our inspired sarees outlive a lifetime. Quite like the women we craft the sarees for, nurturing is at the heart of everything we do. So while our handpicked collection of authentic sarees makes a statement at work, our exclusive saree bags protect them as they’re tucked away in a wardrobe.
